HOUSTON, TXMarch 21, 2024 – Hirsch & Westheimer, P.C. is delighted to announce that two of its attorneys, litigator Jessica Levy Kromar  and bankruptcy counsel Kim Lewinski, have been selected to the 2024 Super Lawyers ‘Rising Stars‘ list. Jessica was named in the category of Business Litigation for the fourth time. Kim was named a Rising Star in Business Bankruptcy for the sixth time. Annually, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in Texas are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor.

Our firm is proud to have Jessica and Kim recognized as Rising Stars. This achievement acknowledges that their exceptional legal talent is recognized by their peers,” said Lee Herman, H&W President.

Jessica has experience at all stages of litigation, through and including jury and bench trials in the state and federal courts of Texas. She has represented individuals, class action plaintiffs, financial institutions, and small and large businesses in matters ranging from breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, DTPA actions, residential and commercial construction defects, RCLA claims, mechanics and materialman’s liens, misappropriation of trade secrets and evictions.

Kim concentrates her litigation practice on creditors’ rights and business bankruptcy and is board certified in bankruptcy by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. She represents financial institutions, suppliers, and landlords in order to protect their assets and maximize recovery prior to and in bankruptcy. Her experience encompasses all aspects of bankruptcy matters, particularly contested matters and adversary proceedings. In addition to her bankruptcy litigation practice, Kim also provides advice on restructuring and insolvency issues.

Kim is an active participant in the Houston legal community. She currently serves as an officer in the Houston Bar Association Bankruptcy Section, committee member in the Honorable Arthur L. Moller-David B. Foltz Jr. American Inn of Court, and member of the Houston Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers. The Rising Stars designation is conferred upon the most respected legal practitioners in the state, based upon peer recognition and professional achievement of attorneys who are 40 or under, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less.
