HOUSTON, TX – January 22, 2019 – Hirsch & Westheimer’s Jeff Shadwick, a member of the firm’s litigation team and former Texas District Court Judge, has been elected to the HRBC Board of Trustees.
The Houston Realty Business Coalition promotes its values of limited government, capitalism and private property rights through hosting public forums, advocating business-friendly policies, and supporting elected officials and candidates who share their vision.
“I am looking forward to getting involved in public policy related to advancing the interests of Houston’s business community. The HRBC does a lot of good things for Houston and I’m happy to be a part of that effort,” said Shadwick, “I will draw upon my prior service on the HISD School Board and as Judge of the 55th District Court in serving Houston once again.”
Judge Shadwick actively participates in a variety of community and professional organizations. He is a member of the Houston and Texas Bar Associations, participates in the Houston and Texas Bar Foundations which support pro bono activities, and has been an active participant and director in the Garland Walker Inns of Court. A member of American Mensa, a high IQ society, Judge Shadwick also routinely mentors young lawyers and recently became an adjunct professor at University of Houston Law School.
