Eric Lipper in The Galveston County Daily News: Represents Developer in Santa Fe Community Construction Plan Dispute

Santa Fe, Texas, March 19, 2021 – Hirsch & Westheimer, P.C. shareholder Eric Lipper was featured in the Galveston County Daily News regarding a community meeting in Santa Fe with its residents. Lipper, the representative for Live Lone Star LLC, a developer that plans to build over 300 manufactured homes on 40 acres in unincorporated Santa Fe. The area’s residents are unhappy about it and pledge to put a halt to it.

Several of the residents gathered to ask questions and contest the plans, but Eric explained that the appeal to living in unregulated areas are not only limited to them, and that Live Lone Star is legally free to construct on the land.

Further, Lipper explained, the neighborhood will be marketed as a “manufactured home resort” and will include a community center and playground.

“People need access to this kind of housing,” Lipper said. “There’s a real need. This provides home-ownership to people that otherwise couldn’t have it.”

“One of the great things about the state of Texas is that there’s all sorts of different communities,” Lipper said. “This is the right land use for what we wanted to do. We wanted to build a manufactured home resort. This was the perfect place for it.”
