Evan A. Moeller, who considers himself a dual native of Jackson, Mississippi and New Orleans, Louisiana, graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2001, earning a B.A. in History and St. John's University School of Law in 2005, having served on the St. John's Journal of Legal Commentary, the Senior Bar of Moot Court, and the Executive Committee of the Frank S. Polestino Trial Advocacy Clinic.
Mr. Moeller currently practices in the firm's litigation group where he has represented both plaintiffs and defendants from the private individual to some of the world's largest companies in a number of commercial and civil disputes.
Mr. Moeller has practiced in every federal court in Texas, dozens of state courts throughout the state, and the United States Tax Court, representing clients in the oil and gas, construction and banking industries, as well as high net-worth individuals in the prosecution and defense of claims against trusts and estates. In addition, Mr. Moeller has defended both individuals and corporations against claims for various business torts, including Business Disparagement and Legal Malpractice. Finally, Mr. Moeller has extensive experience defending large financial institutions against claims under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ("FDCPA"), the federal Fair Credit Billing Act ("FCBA"), the Texas Business & Commerce Code, and the Texas Finance Code, as well as a variety of Usury and Fraud claims.
