Rupert F. Barron

Rupert F. Barron is a 1991 graduate of the George Washington University Law School and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with high distinction from Indiana University. After obtaining his law degree, he served as a judicial law clerk to the Delaware Superior Court.

Rupert is a civil litigation attorney emphasizing complex business and commercial litigation.  His representative experience includes representation of national and regional banks and financial institutions, federal regulatory agencies, insurers, small businesses and individuals  in a broad variety of litigation matters including bank litigation, Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) litigation, mortgage fraud and check fraud, embezzlements, mortgage-backed securities litigation, Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and consumer rights litigation, commercial law, fidelity and surety, insurance coverage, Deceptive Trade Practices Act (DTPA) litigation, residential construction litigation, contract disputes, franchise law, lien disputes, trademark infringement, commercial landlord-tenant, non-competition/noncompete agreements and employment, antitrust matters, wrongful death, will and trust disputes, and satellite trust litigation.
 
Rupert has successfully represented clients before federal and state trial and appellate courts, in civil trials and on appeal. He represents clients in the Houston area and throughout Texas.  He is an active Member of the Texas Association of Bank Counsel, and the Litigation, Commercial and Consumer Law, and Construction sections of the HBA.   Rupert is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts, the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Southern, Western and Northern Districts of Texas, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
