Yusuf Ansari’s passion for helping people drives his litigation practice.
Yusuf graduated from The University of Texas at San Antonio with his bachelors in political science. He received his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law in Houston where he served as an extern for the Honorable Judge Marvin Isgur at the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.
Following law school, Yusuf focused his practice exclusively in representing plaintiffs in a variety of civil litigation matters, with a particular emphasis in personal injury. During that time, he received lots of courtroom experience, frequently arguing motions to the bench, and sat second chair on a few jury trials. Since joining Hirsch & Westheimer’s banking and financial institution group in 2018, Yusuf has expanded his practice to include issues of lender liability, electronic payment systems, secured transactions, negotiable instruments, fund transfers, and commercial and consumer account disputes as well as general commercial litigation. In addition to his work in the courtroom, Yusuf advises a local school district on compliance and other matters.
He is passionate about helping people and is dedicated to making a positive impact on people’s lives. Yusuf brings that passion for service to his representation of the firm’s clients in helping them achieve the best result.
Yusuf is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Houston Bar Association and the Houston Young Lawyer’s Association. Outside of work, he enjoys playing basketball and spending time with his family and friends.
